Two Year Olds

Zion Hill's program for two year olds

This program is designed to help children separate from their parents, become part of a group, learn to take adult direction, and socialize with their peers.

Two years old by 12/31

Teacher/child ratio is 1:4
2, 3 or 5 day programs offered
9:00 am to 12:30 pm daily
Optional extended day to 3:00 pm

Daily activities include free play, music, finger plays, singing and stories, as well as puzzles, table games, circle time and art projects.

Playground time, healthy snack and time for lunch round out the day.

Three Year Olds

Zion Hill's program for three year olds

This stimulating preschool program concentrates on the development of independence, self-discipline and peer cooperation.

Three years old by 12/31

Teacher/child ratio 1:5 & 1:6
2, 3 or 5 day programs offered
9:00 am to 12:30 pm daily
Optional extended day to 3:00 pm

The children enjoy creative art, music and cooking projects.

Classrooms contain age appropriate materials for improving attention span, developing coordination, creativity and language skills. Time for lunch and outdoor play is included in each day.

Four Year Olds

Zion Hill's program for four year olds

This program for four and five year olds focuses on preschoolers’ expanding interest in the environment and their rapidly developing social skills.

Four years old by 12/31

Teacher/child ratio 1:8
4 or 5 day programs offered
9:00 am to 12:30 pm daily
Optional extended day to 3:00 pm

The program also stresses kindergarten readiness.

Subjects for exploration include family, community, occupations, transportation and safety. In addition, music, art, creative movement, cooking and woodworking offer many opportunities to express creativity.

Five Year Olds

Zion Hill's program for five year olds

This program is specifically designed to foster independence and social development while promoting higher learning within the classroom.

Five years old by 12/31

Teacher/child ratio: 1:6
Five days/week
9:00 am to 12:30 pm daily
Optional extended day to 3:00 pm

The unique curriculum allows teachers to design a plan for each child based on their individual strengths and challenges.

Special attention is paid to emotional/social/cognitive development and the fine/gross motor skills needed for kindergarten.
