Afternoon Adventures at Zion's Hill
for preschoolers ages 3 & 4 & 5

What: we've enhanced our wonderful extended day program so your child can learn, play and explore a new skill from certified teachers in a caring and nurturing environment. Choose the day or days that appeal to your budding adventurer. The extension is still from 12:30-3:00pm Tuesdays through Fridays (1:30-3:00pm for outside families) but will now include focused instruction, snack and playground time.

Tuesday: Spanish Language. This adventure will use songs, music, body movement, finger play, stories and games to teach key Spanish phrases and vocabulary. The classes will make learning Spanish fun for your preschoolers – the prime age for language acquisition.

Wednesday: Construction and Design Inspiration. Using a wide range of materials to build, shape and form new projects, your child will receive an introduction to some very fun and basic math and science concepts.

Thursday: Music, Art & Drama. Help develop your child's appreciation of the fine arts and encourage their ability to express themselves creatively. Each class will expose your child to one of these hands-on themes and foster a wider appreciation of the arts.

Friday: Cooking with Friends. How many times has your child asked "can I help?" while you whipped up a meal in the kitchen? This adventure will allow your child to get their hands directly in the planning, creation and enjoyment of making something delicious and nutritious each week.

** Drop-ins are still welcome based on availability.

** Traditional extensions (no Afternoon Adventurer component)  are available for Twos on Tuesday and Wednesdays only from September to December.  In January, ZHPP may offer Traditional extensions Tuesdays through Friday depending on enrollment.
